What to expect
Every 2nd and 3rd Friday of the month, join us for gentle yoga at the McClung Museum. Take a break with mindful breathing, relaxing movements, gentle stretching, and moments of meditation to help you unwind and ease into the weekend. We encourage you to wear comfortable clothes that you can move in and bring a yoga mat. Forgot your mat or don’t have one? No problem! The museum has a limited supply of mats available to borrow. No experience is necessary. About the Instructor: Tristen Sellers' yoga journey began at the age of 12, sparked by an early fascination with India and Hindu philosophy. She attended her first yoga class in 2006 at a local community center in Knoxville, where she immediately felt a deep connection to the practice. She completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2021 under the guidance of Heather Hutcheson and Zak Stinnett and has since taught a diverse range of classes, blending mindful movement, anatomical awareness, and energetic exploration. Outside of her professional work, Tristen enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and animals, immersing herself in nature, listening to music, reading, and continually expanding her knowledge across a wide range of subjects. Funding for the McClung Museum’s educational programming has been provided by the Knox County Tourism Consortium.
